I’m excited to both announce & introduce my new Color Cocktail feature!!
Each month, I’ll feature cocktails focusing on one particular color (& it’s varying shades). And since it happens to be the cold of the winter right now, I thought it would be a cool idea to feature white cocktails this month. It’s winter, so I may as well go with the winter wonderland theme, right?
Featuring:
Limoncello Colada
To test this recipe out, I made it for my friend’s Christmas party and it was a big hit. This cocktail is like a burst of summer in the dead of winter. So if you’re looking for a bit of a mental getaway on a cold, cold day give this one a shot.
This may be my favorite in this list of white cocktails. It’s very different and unexpected. And honestly, it may not be for everyone, but I think it’s delicious. And at least of the party goers truly enjoyed it, there was not a drop left.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 fresh pineapple
- 16 oz Coconut milk
- 5 oz Limoncello
- 4 oz Rum
- 2 oz lime juice
- 2 cups ice
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth
- Pour into your glass of choice, add a straw for the special beach touch if you like
- Garnish with some pomegranate seeds and mint
- Enjoy!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Eggnog
(And if you’ve not heard of Greg, do yourself a favorite and go check out his YouTube channel. He’s a trip and is always making some sort of awesome beverage, often inspired by one of my many, many geek fandoms.)
So, this was my very first time making eggnog, and I was more than a bit intimidated. This is easily, the most involved and complicated drink recipe I’ve ever attempted. The use of a mixer had me worried there–if you’ve ever been around for one of epic kitchen disasters, you’d understand. 🙂
As I’d decided this would be part of my step-dad’s Christmas gift, I was up for the challenge. I’m always making my mom and cousin a bottle of something spirited for Christmas, & I didn’t want to leave him out this year. Turns out, this recipe is easy to follow and the eggnog is DELICIOUS if I do say so myself. My step-dad even sent me the thumbs up emoji after he’d had a glass, so you know that means I’m winning. 🙂
And since I used almond milk vs regular milk, this one came out more beige vs white-lol. Just go with it. 😉
- 4 egg whites
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp + 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups almond milk (I substitute this for regular milk)
- 2-4 oz rum
- 2-4 oz bourbon
- pinch of salt
- pinch of nutmeg
Directions:
- Whip up egg whites until they form soft peaks
- Add tablespoon of sugar and whip until they form stiff peaks
- In another bowl, mix egg yolks & 1/4 cup of sugar, whip until fully integrated and lighter in color
- Add milk, heavy cream, rum, & bourbon to egg yolks with a pinch of salt and nutmeg
- Mix until combined (about a minute)
- Once combined, fold in egg whites (low to medium speed)
- Pour eggnog into a serving container or punch bowl and enjoy!

Campfire Cocktail
This is a simple, but really tasty cocktail. I don’t do a Bailey’s a lot, but it’s delish in this beverage. Baileys is full of flavor, so when mixed with vodka you get a simple, yet effective adult beverage.
- 1 oz Vodka
- 2 oz Baileys
- 2 oz almond milk (you can sub your fav milk version here, the original recipe called for 2% milk)
Directions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add vodka and Baileys & shake thoroughly
- Pour mixture into a serving glass, add milk
- Enjoy!
If you want, you can garnish your glass with a chocolate syrup rim dusted with crushed graham crackers & a toasted marshmallow on top. Let me tell you, I tried this and failed. Therefore, there was no fancy garnish on my version-lol.
Snowflake Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 3 oz White Chocolate liqueur
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake vigorously until well combined
- Garnished however you see fit, I did a silver dusted rim
- Serve and enjoy!
White Christmas Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 2 oz White Chocolate liqueur
- 1 oz white creme de cacao
- 1 oz half and half
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- shake vigorously to combine
- serve and enjoy!
Here’s my pretty solid listing of white cocktails, should you ever find yourself in need for a themed party or special occasion.
