Since having fresh lemon & lime juice on hand is my #1 Bar Basic rule, fresh citrus juice prep is a bi-weekly task for me.
Not only do I happen to love citrus forward cocktails, I find a splash of lemon or lime juice brightens up just about any beverage. And while there’s nothing wrong with using bottled lemon or lime juice in a pinch, nothing compares to the taste of freshly squeezed.
I know what you’re saying, “That’s too much work.”
To which I say, “No, it’s not”.
All you need is your choice of citrus, the proper tool, and about 10 minutes of your time. I promise. 😉
My tool of choice for small citrus is a citrus press. It makes quick work of lemons & limes. However, I sometimes find myself in need of juice from a larger citrus that’s not easily found in grocery stores. Now, I’m not proud to admit this, but I’ve used my small citrus press for things like blood oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits in the past.
But I’ve corrected this behavior by purchasing the Drizom Citrus/Orange Juicer for this task. Let me tell you, it’s a true game changer. Catch me in action below as I try it for the first time on some blood oranges.
After watching the video, you can see how the proper tools make juicing quick & easy. If you want to make your fresh citrus juice prep easy, check out the Drizon juice on Amazon via the link below.
