While on my Disney World vacation, we hung out at Disney Springs quite a bit. It’s a fun place with a variety of stores, all things Disney, and lots of restaurants. Trust me, there is something for everyone here, and we decided to try out Enzo’s, The Edison, and Jaleo. I didn’t expect any of the restaurants to be bad, this is Disney after all, and they most certainly did not disappoint!
Here’s my overview/recap of the 3 Disney Spring restaurants we dined at. Also, keep in mind I was operating with my phone as the only camera, so not all the pictures are the best of quality. Especially in those low light situations… But hey, it is what it is. 🙂

Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar: 4.0
Enzo’s is an Italian, speakeasy styled restaurant featuring Prohibition era cocktails. Since I love both speakeasies and Italian food, this was an easy choice. Not to mention Enzo’s has the largest selection of rums and scotch you’ll find at Disney Springs.
The girls stayed pretty basic with dinner, one had spaghetti & meatballs, the other chicken tenders. They both enjoyed their meals, but said it was nothing special. Kids.
I went with the Linguine Alla Burrata. This pasta dish features roasted mushrooms, spinach, Burrata cheese, mushroom brodetto, and Pecorino cheese. I wasn’t blown away, but it was pretty good. Since I’ve been on a Caesar salad kick since my 45th birthday, I ordered one to go. I figured it’d be a healthy way to fuel my day before tackling Epcot.
With Enzo being a billed as a speakeasy, I tried 2 of their cocktails. First up, the Limoncello Gimlet. Gimlets are in my top 3 favorite cocktails, so how could I not try the one. Not only do they make theirs with limoncello, but my fav gin, Hendrick’s as well. I loved it. They struck a balance between the citrus & sweet components. And the thyme delivers a nice herbal complement to both. I think I need to incorporate more herbs in my cocktails going forward.
Next up, I tried the Hazelnut Old Fashioned since the server recommended it. Enzo’s version of this classic cocktail features Frangelico along with the usual whiskey and an orange components. Oddly enough, I didn’t really feel this one. The Frangelico was a bit too overwhelming for me. But I admire their daring new twist on this classic.
Overall, Enzo’s has good service & food, but I wasn’t really taken with the place.
The Edison: 4.75
The Edison was our next Disney Springs restaurant. Check out their description:
Experience a clever tribute to an era fueled by invention and imagination! Designed to look like a 1920s electric company, The Edison exudes an air of romance and Old World sophistication.
After reading this, I knew this was the place for me. Walking immediately felt like walking into a place out of time. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t in a high end time traveling/sci fi/fantasy/period piece boutique bar. There are so many cool props and items displayed that I kept expecting to run into Indiana Jones. 🙂 Needless to say, I love it immediately.
For starters, we shared the fried calamari, and it was delicious. I’m still shocked I managed to talk the girls into trying it. They aren’t the most adventurous eaters, and when they asked me exactly what calamari was, I was tempted to lie. But I didn’t, and they liked it anyway. 🙂
Next, the youngest minion ordered the Smoke and Mirrors mocktail. I think it’s really cool The Edison has a mocktail menu for kids and others that just don’t indulge in alcohol for their own reasons. This drink contains pineapple, lemon, and lime juices, plus orgeat– a combination I never imagined putting together. My daughter enjoyed it so I count it as a win.
Of course, I had to try a cocktail and went with the Samantha Sterling. Fun fact, this drink is named after a Disney character from Pleasure Island. This beauty has watermelon juice, vodka, Lillet Rose, lime juice, and cinnamon cordial. I initially hesitated on this one because of the watermelon and cinnamon combo– it doesn’t seem like a match made in heaven. However, our server highly recommended it, so I went with it.
And I’m so happy I did. Samantha Sterling is the best cocktail I had during my Disney vacation. It’s light & refreshing, with a nicely balanced sweetness due to the cinnamon. Seriously, the watermelon & cinnamon is a fascinating combination. I’m going to work on incorporating cinnamon into future cocktails.
For dinner, the kids had their usual chicken tenders for one, and a kid’s cheeseburger for the other. I had The Edison, a $25 burger made with a magical blend of sirloin, short rib, and brisket! Then it’s topped with white cheddar cheese, crispy onions (which is one of my fav burger toppings), smoked bacon, pickles (made in house), lettuce, tomatoes, and their special sauce. Let me tell you, this burger did not disappoint. Of course, I couldn’t finish it, but that’s what doggy bags are for. 🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed The Edison. The food- excellent, the service- top notch, and the atmosphere- just screamed The Spirited Traveler. I’d definitely plan on visiting again.
Jaleo: 4.5
It was our last night in Orlando and I wanted to end our Disney experience with a new adventure. The girls are pretty stuck on what they like to eat, so I thought a Spanish restaurant would be a good place for them to try familiar things prepared in new ways. Jaleo specializes in tapas & paellas, and I enjoy both, so I was more than ready for this meal!
I absolutely loved Jaleo. Our server was THE absolute best. He took the time to learn our preferences and made recommendations based on them. And clearly I looking a little road weary, because he kept my glass full of delicious sangria. I mean, we were nearing the end of 5 days at Disney, so I probably was looking a little rough-lol.
Speaking of the sangria, based on his recommendation, I ordered a pitcher of Sangria roja La Sueca- a spiced, macerated red wine sangria. It was very light and delicious, the perfect way to end a long, hot day.
We ordered 3 tapas and 2 desserts for dinner. First up was Croquetas de pollo. This is a fried chicken fritter, with the chicken prepared as if it was for a chicken pot pie. It wasn’t the chicken tenders the girls thought they were getting, but super good. Oh, and the cutest thing ever is that they’re served on a plate made to resemble a pillow like something you’d find in a Disney movie.
Next up, we had the Gambas al ajillo– sautéed shrimp with garlic. A very simple, but super delicious dish. Lastly, we had Patatas bravas, cubed fried potatoes with a spicy tomato and aioli sauce. I love potatoes and these did not disappoint. The portions look small, but we could barely finish all of them between the 3 of us.
And though we were pretty full, we simply couldn’t pass on dessert. We had the Pan con chocolate– a chocolate custard with an olive oil brioche ice cream and a slice of caramelized bread. Sounds weird, I know, but that’s why I had to try it. It was so good. The ice cream paired really well with the custard, helping to cut the richness. And to be honest, I really just wanted to try to caramelized bread. 🙂
And finally, we had the Flan al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana. A mouthful, I know, but in all the best ways possible. This is a traditional Spanish custard with oranges and cream. I didn’t expect my youngest to like it, in fact I tried to talk her out of ordering. She’s the pickiest of eaters and I just didn’t think it was her vibe. But since we were trying new things, we ordered it. It was a big hit and she nearly ate the entire thing by herself.
Jaleo was a hit. I would definitely visit again. I love the atmosphere, the views, the sangria, and the food was other level good. Next time I go though, I’m definitely trying the paella.
I hope you enjoyed my recap of these 3 Disney Spring restaurants. Here are some additional pictures of the food and drinks we enjoyed on vacation. All in all, Disney Spring was a great experience, I highly recommend it.
